Vorab möchte ich etwas klar stellen: Ich bin Muslim, aber Salafisten sind nicht meine Brüder, und ich bin auch kein Teil von irgendeiner imaginären, weltweit unterdrückten muslimischen Gemeinde, der so genannten Umma. Salafismus repräsentiert mich als Individuum und als Menschen nicht. Sie repräsentieren den Islam nicht – nicht wie ich ihn verstehe! Im Gegensatz zu ihnen sind für mich Meinungsfreiheit, Demokratie, Menschenrechte und Toleranz keine Einbahnstraße und kein Instrument, um hierzulande Hass frei zu verbreiten!
Es wurde viel über den Salafismus geschrieben und berichtet. Leider habe ich in dieser aktuellen Debatte die muslimischen Stimmen vermisst! Vereine und Verbände erkennen die Gefahren des Salafismus nicht und handeln aus sehr eingeschränkter Sicht. Manche versuchen das Problem zu verharmlosen. Manche stehen sogar mit Salafisten auf einer Bühne – wie der Rat der Muslime in Bonn – während Polizisten angegriffen und schwer verletzt werden und wundern sich, dass es ihnen nicht gelingt, diese Gewalt zu stoppen. Und für manche sind Salafisten Brüder und Schwestern im Islam!

Immer diese wirren Implikationen Sollte der Autor sich nicht erstmal die Frage stellen, ob "Muslime" den Islam überhaupt besiegen *wollen*?
Und wer ist das überhaupt, "die Muslime"? Bekanntlich gibtes gar nicht "den Islam". Und in der Tat sticht der Islam nicht zuletzt dadurch hervor, daß sich seine verschiedenen Strömungen untereinander grausamst bekämpfen und abschlachten.
Und warum will sich der Herr Lau selbst - stellvertretend für "uns" vermutlich, also für den Westen - aus der Affaire ziehen? "Wir" jedenfalls wollen durchaus den Salafismus besiegen. Nur mit dem Können, nämlich mit dem Kämpfen, da haperts leider.
Keine Eier, keine Zukunft. Viel Spaß noch, Abendland, in der Mülltonne der Evolution.
